Creative Writing

LANGUAGE FEATURES FOR RUGBY AND LEAGUE
The language features used are: simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration and onomatopoeia. Please write the language features after each sentence. Refer back to the definitions if you need to. Note: There may be more than one language feature for each number.

1) The Hornby league team were a machine against Haeata.
Smile
2) However, one could be forgiven for thinking they were like a machine that had been left in the shed over the Summer.

3) They coughed and choked like an old car, before the teamed changed into overdrive for the second half.

4) As the game went on, crashes, cracks and collisions were heard around the field.

5) Haeata became a car wreck in the last quarter, with a total of 3 players yellow carded.

6) Hornby went on a frenetic feeding frenzy in the last 15 minutes, amassing a very satisfying 20 points.

16) The first round of the competition chuckled at critics who said it was going to be boring.

Autumn looks like Leaves on the ground falling from be trees
Autumn tastes like chicken noodle soup
Autumn smells like firewood burning
Autumn feels like crunchy leaves
Autumn sounds like the trees making be noise and then the leaves falling on the ground

Winter looks like snow over be ground.
Winter tastes like Hot milos with marshmallows.
Winter smells like a cold breeze flowing through my hair.
Winter feels like freezing.

Winter sounds like people saying it's cold.
